ELVAC introduces a new addition to its iEi Integration portfolio, the PPC-FW19D-ULT5 rugged panel PC, designed for manufacturing plants that need reliable, long-life IT technology.

The new PPC-FW19D-ULT5 is equipped with eighth-generation Intel® energy-efficient Whiskey Lake-U processors, specifically two 4.10 GHz Intel® i5-8365U and 2.20 GHz Intel Celeron® 4305U processor options. The LCD panel size is 18.5 inches and we find durable projection capacitive touch technology designed for multi-touch operation. The display provides 1366 x 768 px resolution and 400 nits brightness. Newly, the panel is enhanced with an anti-glare treatment that eliminates light glare. A second monitor can be connected via HDMI interface. The PPC-FW19D-ULT5 comes pre-installed with 4GB of DDR4 SO-DIMM memory expandable up to 32GB. The back of the panel PC is equipped with a passive heatsink and there is a 2.5″ SATA 6Gb/s HDD/SSD compartment on the left side, which is easily accessible for service purposes.

The system offers a sufficient number of inputs and outputs. It has three Gigabit LAN ports, two of which simultaneously provide PoE power, reducing cabling by using a single cable to supply power and data simultaneously. There are also 4x USB 3.2 Gen2; 1x RS-232and 1x RS-232/422/485. Last but not least, the ability to expand the panel PC’s features with up to two M.2 cards. The first expansion is via the M.2 2230 A-Key module, which allows the addition of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or another USB port. The second type of expansion module is the M.2 2280 M-Key for expansion with a second NVMe SSD with PCIe 3.0 x4 support. Of course, there is a variety of mounting options: in the panel, on the wall, on a shoulder mount, in a 19″ RACK or in the door of a rack.

The PPC-FW19D-ULT5 is capable of operating in temperatures from -10 to 50 °C and offers IP66 front protection. These features add up to a comprehensive industry standard that is essential for computing and information technology in production halls, industrial automation and assembly lines.
