Panel computers with Intel Alder Lake processors

Production lines are in the overwhelming majority of places where dust, in some cases fine material waste or liquid aerosol, is formed, which falls on the equipment and can endanger it. Another aspect of industrial production is the necessity of the controlling IT technology to operate 24 hours a day for several years, often at different temperatures depending on the season. Such computer technology must not be sensitive to temperature fluctuations and, in combination with the heat it emits, must often bear the high load of its working environment. The ability to function for a long time and withstand different temperatures is mainly ensured by hardened components with optimized thermal performance and a carefully designed design in industrial computers. It is to this segment that the robust PPC2-C-ADL series belongs, which is offered in 4:3 aspect ratio formats in the 15″ size, 5:4 for the 17″ display and in 16:9 format in the 15.6″ and 18.5″ sizes.

The new PPC-ADL is equipped with twelfth generation Intel® Alder Lake processors with powerful computing power. Here specifically with optional Intel® i7/i5/i3 and Pentium ® Gold G7400 variants. Depending on the performance of the processor and according to the equipment of the system with additional cards or disks, the computer is equipped with two smart fans located in the lower part of the chassis, which help to keep temperature fluctuations at bay. The touch technology of the LCD panel is solved by projection capacitive touch technology designed for multi-touch operation with gloves or wet hands. The display panel is improved with an anti-reflective and UV layer, which reduces the amount of glare and improves image sharpness. For better resistance against metal chips or contact with a metal tool, the LCD surface is supplied with a hardness of 7H.

The PPC2-C15/17/19 and W-ADL come pre-installed with 4GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory expandable up to 64GB. Storage options include one slot for 2.5 SATA HDD/SSD and 1x M.2 Key M 2242/2280 slot for high-speed NVMe SSD with PCIe 3.0 x4 support. The system offers a sufficient number of inputs and outputs. It has two 2.5GbE Intel® I225 LAN ports, there are also 2x USB 2, 4x USB 3.2 Gen1&2; 4x RS-232 and 1x RS-232/422/485. Last but not least, other expansion options should be mentioned, the first via the M.2 2230 E-Key module, which allows addition of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or another USB port. The second expansion is one PCIe Gen4 x 16 expansion card slot for adding a graphics card, another SSD or RAID.
The PPC2-ADL panel computers are designed to work at temperatures from -10 to up to 60 °C and offer IP65 front protection. Of course, the variability of mounting: to the panel, to the wall via VESA, to the arm holder, to the 19″ RACK or to the cabinet door. These features complement the comprehensive industry standard that is essential for computing and information technology in production halls, industrial automation and assembly lines.
