Description of implementation:

On behalf of our customer VÍTKOVICE STEEL, a.s., we modernized the equipment used for sheet metal cutting. It is a machine scissors cutting sheet metal with a thickness of 40 mm. The cutting itself is performed by two DC motors, each with an output of 550kW. We used our interdisciplinary know-how to deliver a comprehensive solution.

• Project documentation
• Manufacture of switchboards.
• Installation of switchboards and necessary cabling
• Design, manufacture and installation of new flanges for encoders
• Parameterization of frequency converters
• Software development for PLC control

Benefits of modernisation:

The machine now operates without faults and with greater reliability than before, and power consumption has also been reduced. Thanks to the new switchgear, among other things, the free space in the machine’s switchgear room has been increased, which significantly increases safety and comfort during maintenance. Control and signalling is now much more comfortable for the operator, thanks to the new HMI panel, which simplifies work with new visualisation.
