According to the customer’s request, we have implemented a complex device for measuring the thickness of the sheet before pressing into the online sheet metal production, which guarantees that only one sheet of the selected thickness is inserted into the pressing mould.

The original in-line sheet thickness checking equipment did not exhibit the required reliability, could not be controlled centrally and did not meet the requirements for overall system functionality during the pressing production process.

The pressing line was equipped with several pairs of laser sensors with evaluation units, including modification of the existing PLC program and HMI visualization.
Our installation of the new measurement system increased accuracy, production flow and minimized damage to the sheet metal stamping production equipment.
