Smart factories are becoming increasingly prevalent in the manufacturing sector and advances in automation are dramatically transforming the style of manufacturing. Any successful implementation of smart manufacturing today cannot do without a centralised control system, where the panel computer plays an integral role in data collection, storage, processing and analysis. The APPC xx50T models are the latest additions to NEXCOM’s popular line of APPC panel computers.

Cost-effective yet powerful at the same time. The heart of the APPC xx50T series is the Intel® Celeron® J3455 processor, which is both efficient and effective for tasks in manufacturing operations, from system control, process monitoring, data visualization, and network configuration. The SO-DIMM memory slot can be populated with up to 8 GB of DDR3L, which is sufficient for smooth multitasking. The system is equipped with a sufficient number of input and output interfaces, the necessary 2x Gigabit Ethernet LAN Intel connectors for high-speed network communication, 2x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0, three serial communication ports with 2x RS-232 and 1x RS-232/422/485 interfaces and 2x Displayport for connecting additional monitors. Data storage space is provided as standard in the computer with one position for a 2.5″ SATA HDD/SSD or M.2 2242 B-key. There is also one mini-PCIe position for optional Wi-Fi or Bluetooth module for wireless communication.

Adapts to all conditions. The APPC xx50T models are available in four display sizes, 12.1″, 15″ (XGA), 17″ and 19″ (SXGA), all with the same look and feel and flexible hardware configuration for easy deployment. The front touch panel is IP65 rated for high resistance to dirt, dust and water, allowing deployment in harsh work environments.

The PPC unit can be panel, wall or arm mounted directly to the machine. A rich feature set, sufficient performance, plus a robust design make this fanless computer a reliable partner for most industrial automation scenarios.
