This year, ELVAC SK celebrates its 20th anniversary. We took advantage of this anniversary to interview its director Michal Gajdúšek.

Michal, can you tell us about the beginnings of ELVAC SK?

The three of us started out in a small office in the city center. We grew up in a green field, no one knew us, customers knew nothing about the company and the ELVAC brand.

We had to add value to what we do. Well, we simply had to convince our partners of this and prove to them that we are the right ones for cooperation in the field of industrial computing.

Through hard work, building credibility and showing our qualities, we found customers in this field and that is how our cooperation began.

What do you remember most fondly in connection with the company?

The successes will certainly remain in memory, when we implemented something that was exceptional, not a common phenomenon in a given period. After all, almost anything is possible nowadays. Technology and engineering have advanced in an amazing way, and work tools are also significantly different and help with work productivity.

It probably says it all that when I started, the smartphone as we know it did not exist yet. In 2005, there was no Android system, phones only had Windows Mobile. Email was only on laptops or PCs. 😊

What do you consider to be the greatest successes and historical milestones of ELVAC SK that are worth remembering?

It was certainly the strategic relationships established with companies that are our main partners even after all these long years. Then there is the implementation of the first RTU units in 2008. But of course, RTU units are a source of pride and honor for us even today.

And I also consider the way many perceive us to be a success. The name of our company is a good advertisement. Customers come back to us because they were satisfied and want to continue working with us. Then you feel that you are doing a good job. It warms your soul.

Tell us what has surprised you about the company over the years, whether in terms of work or people.

What surprised me? We managed to come together as a perfect group of people.

I often hear how pleasant and human the environment is in the company. That our employees feel good, that we are like a family. And you can feel and know how in difficult moments and difficult life situations the company management cares about its employees.

It is a wonderful mutual synergy.

Are there any changes and news waiting for ELVAC SK in the future, where is its vision heading?

I could describe the vision in several points that I would like to focus on.

• Introduce innovations such as AI and automation of certain processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Implement sustainability and green technologies, invest in renewable energy sources.
• Expand into new markets, expand the range of products and services to adapt to changing customer needs.
• Improve customer service, invest in employee training and development.

These are bold plans, but I am confident that we will succeed in fulfilling them.

Is there anything you would like to say to business partners or employees in conclusion?

Colleagues, colleagues, not only in Slovakia but also in the Czech Republic, dear business partners, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who have contributed or are contributing to our common success. This significant year and milestone is not just about the numbers, but also about the story that we are all part of and that we have created.

Employees, you are an integral part of our history and future. Your work, determination and constant desire for improvement are the foundation on which we build. Without you, the company could never have achieved what we celebrate today.

You, our business partners, are also valuable to us. Your support, trust and shared approach to innovation and quality have always moved us forward. Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to the next one in the future that still awaits us. With many of you, it is no longer just about work. After all those years of mutual communication, overcoming obstacles and experiencing joys, we also share our privacy together.
