The first hands-free mobile device with a thermal imaging camera

Realwear has been an innovator since its first HMT1 model, when it brought a unique voice-controlled headset solution to the market. This was followed by the Navigator 500, which brought many innovations and promised a wide range of expandability in the future.

One such option comes today in the form of the ability to replace a conventional camera with a thermal imaging scope. This makes it the world’s first smart glasses with thermal scanning capability.

4 thermal image modes

Realwear has collaborated on the development of the thermal imaging camera with FLIR, a world leader in thermal imaging technology whose equipment is used by firefighters, among others. Thanks to these technologies, the Navigator 500 smart goggles have been given 4 modes of thermal spectrum display, which are variously linked to the normal image from the native camera.

Normal mode with temperature readings

The normal image enriched with the temperature data of the target location is displayed.

Thermal imaging combined with standard image

In this mode, you can see a standard image supplemented by a colour scheme reflecting the temperature differences of the individual sites.

Colour thermal imaging

Display of a colour thermal image of the sensed site.

Sepcial MSX®
