ELVAC a.s., a leading manufacturer and supplier of industrial PCs in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, presents the DRPC-330 compact passively cooled computer with Linux Ubuntu 18.10 operating system.

It is a compact DIN-rail computer equipped with a quad-core Marvell® ARMADA® 88F7040 processor with a computing frequency of 1.4 GHz. The Marvell®ARMADA®88F7040 processor is a complete system-on-chip (SoC) solution based on the latest CPU with ARM v8 technology, which is suitable for a wide range of SoHo, SMB class applications and provides optimal performance and power consumption.

DRPC-330-A7K is equipped with rich I/O interfaces such as 2x Marvell® 88E1512 Gigabit LAN and 1x Marvell® 88F7040 10GbE for ultra-fast network communication. There are also 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 for connecting peripherals. For classic RS-232 serial communication, there is one RJ-45 connector and 4x DB-9 connectors (2x RS-232, 2x 422/485) with 2.5 kV isolation. Data storage space is provided by 32 GB eMMC data memory, another option is data storage on M.2 B-key (PCIex1) SSD, but also via Micro SD interface. The computer can be supplemented with two additional M.2 modules for optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module for wireless communication, and there is a 1x SIM slot. The DRPC-330 can optionally be supplied with a TPM 2.0 encryption module, which allows data and passwords on the disk to be encrypted using BitLocker technology. The TPM then provides a higher level of security against malware and skimming.
The DRPC-330-A7K DIN-rail computer has been designed to operate in environments with an extended operating temperature range of -20 to +60°C, allowing the device to be installed in outdoor racks. Passive cooling of the system ensures reliability and extends system life. Power to the system is supplied via a terminal block with a wide range of 9 ~ 36 V DC. With compliance to MIL-STD-810G 514.6C-1 vibration standard, the DRPC-330 embedded computer is also suitable for use in locations subject to shock and vibration with up to 5G force.

Applications for the DRPC-330 include factory automation, energy management or as a data acquisition gateway. Finally, it is important to emphasize the maintenance-free nature of the system, the unit contains components of the highest industrial standard and there are no mechanical moving parts, no replaceable batteries, no fans or vents.
